Celebrating Valentine’s Day with the Elderly at Silverado Senior Living
This Valentine’s Day turned out to be a memorable one when the students from American Montessori Campus in Plano visited the elderly at the Silverado Senior Living Facility.
The two wide-spread age groups brought so much joy and laughter to one another; clearly an indication that age had no boundary.
Kreative Kidz Partyz and American Montessori partnered up to organize this event. Cupcakes of all sorts and sizes were baked and decorated by the children, under the close supervision of the staff of Kreative Kidz Partyz.
The children had such a blast during the two-day process of baking and decorating, and not forgetting for one moment that these very special treats loaded with “lots of love ingredients” were for their elderly friends.
The purpose behind this fun-filled event was to teach children to give back to our community of elderly people, knowing that one day they would be just like them, when the simple things of being loved and cared for are the most cherished.
The children entertained their elderly friends with songs and nursery rhymes while they served the “cupcakes filled with love”.
The parents of the children also took part to make residents at Silverado feel appreciated and loved.
